Responsibilities Collect, process, and handle various specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples with meticulous attention to aseptic techniques and safety protocols Perform laboratory tests using established procedures and techniques, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results Operate laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, analyzers, microscopes, and blood sampling devices efficiently and safely Document all test results accurately into electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity Assist with patient care activities including vital signs measurement, specimen collection via venipuncture or other methods, and patient positioning when necessary Support laboratory quality assurance by adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), performing routine maintenance, and participating in calibration activities Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding test outcomes and specimen status while providing excellent patient service during collection procedures Qualifications Proven experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting with knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and terminology Certification or training in phlebotomy including venipuncture, blood sampling, specimen handling, and specimen processing Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pediatrics, geriatrics, and related medical concepts relevant to laboratory work Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for data entry and test result documentation Knowledge of CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification to ensure safety during patient interactions Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for specimen transport or equipment setup Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and communication in diverse healthcare environments Join us in making a difference through precise diagnostics and compassionate patient interactions.
