Position Summary The primary function of this position is to assist the Principal Investigator and members of the laboratory with experiments involving molecular biology, animal behavior, biochemistry, electrophysiology and immunohistochemistry. The technician will be expected to prepare buffers and dilutions, perform histological protocols, perform surgery, conduct basic data analysis, assist with lab and equipment maintenance and maintain rodent colonies. Training will be provided. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Management Preferences Experience with:
Behavioral assays Perfusions, Mouse stereotaxic surgeries & brain extractions Mouse colony maintenance Confocal microscopy Required Licenses/Certifications Special Physical/Mental Requirements Ability to work with animals.
