IT Lab Support Technician (Part-Time/ONSITE)

Location:

Durham, NC (Onsite)

Schedule:

Part-Time, 20 hours/week (2-3 days onsite)

Pay:

$30-$33/hr

We are hiring an IT Lab Support Technician with 1-2 years of experience supporting laboratory IT environments. This role combines help desk support with hands-on support of scientific workstations, laboratory instruments, and end users in a research setting. What You'll Do Provide onsite IT support for scientists, researchers, and laboratory staff. Troubleshoot and support Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. Support laboratory instruments and workstations, including HPLCs, SpectraMax, microscopes, and NGS platforms. Install, configure, and maintain laboratory software and hardware. Support applications such as Empower, QXManager, SoftMax Pro, JMP, and GraphPad. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and connectivity issues. Perform routine maintenance, system updates, and user account administration. Assist with data backup, asset management, and system documentation. Train users on laboratory workstation and software best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required. 1-2 years of IT Lab Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Lab IT experience. Experience supporting laboratory, scientific, research, healthcare, or biotech environments. Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows and macOS (Linux preferred). Experience supporting laboratory instruments and scientific software.
