Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
Control production of labels for manufacturing departments. Schedule label production using acquired knowledge of priorities of manufacturing production. Maintain label stock. Load and run labeling printers and equipment necessary for production of labels. Efficiently use necessary labeling software to enable accurate production of labels. Maintain proper levels of label room supplies. All areas of responsibility must be organized and clean.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sort pack orders (Label requests) to verify label information and select correct label shell and printer for each order
- Use Bartender, WFG Label Print Program, and D365 software to create and produce print jobs as needed on various label shells using thermal transfer and inkjet printers
- Effectively use Bartender, D365 software to modify existing information for labeling needs
- Effectively operate thermal transfer and inkjet printers to print labels for all production departments
- Knowledge of DOT information as it pertains to label information
- Maintain appropriate inventory of label room and printer supplies
- Perform inventory cycle counts as requested, and process appropriate documentation
- Maintain facility printers in good operating order to meet label quality requirements of the company
- Coordinate with all other departments requiring labels
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Manufacturing
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education Required- High School Diploma or equivalent GED Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of software Bartender and Microsoft D365
- Knowledge of formula and raw material information used in labeling process
- Knowledge of bar codes and software
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills with public, plant personnel and management
- Knowledge of equipment and supplies used in label production Reasoning Ability
- Ability to reason and make decisions within scope of job requirements.
