Our laboratory operates under CLIA certification and CAP accreditation, ensuring that all specimen handling and testing procedures meet rigorous regulatory and quality assurance standards. Position Overview Rythm Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician (3rd Shift) to support day-to-day laboratory operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a regulated clinical laboratory environment. This role involves specimen processing, data entry, and operation of FDA-cleared clinical analyzers in accordance with established procedures. Key Responsibilities Accurately receive, accession, and track incoming specimens using laboratory information systems (LIS). Verify specimen integrity, labeling accuracy, and documentation compliance. Aliquot and prepare blood samples according to established protocols. Operate and perform routine maintenance on FDA-cleared clinical analyzers. Enter, review, and maintain accurate electronic laboratory records. Adhere to CLIA/CAP-compliant SOPs, laboratory safety requirements, and quality assurance procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace. Communicate specimen status and promptly escalate issues to the Lab Supervisor. Support additional laboratory tasks as needed to meet operational demands. Work Schedule 3rd shift required.
Typical hours:
10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, with flexibility based on operational needs. Eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable laws. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in biology, chemistry, medical laboratory science, or a related field. Comfortable working with computer software, LIS, and clinical instrumentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently. Ability to handle blood specimens in a laboratory setting. Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a clinical laboratory. Prior experience with Roche Cobas Pro clinical analyzers. Familiarity with clinical laboratory workflows and regulated environments. Interest in developing and advancing technical laboratory skills.
