The Medical Lab Assistant performs various non-technical and limited technical functions in the laboratory which allows the timely flow of all specimens through the lab departments. The Medical Lab Assistant maintains the integrity of samples from receipt to storage and performs specific departmental tasks as assigned by the technical supervisor.What You'll Do:
Evaluates specimen quality, appropriateness of orders and determines additional steps required for testing. Works with department specific instrumentation to prepare and process specimens for testing. Appropriately preserves, stores and archives specimens. Remains knowledgeable and proficient in use of information systemsWho You Are:
Associate's degree in Science or 2+ years equivalent related experience. Laboratory Clinical support and/or equivalent related experience. Ability to work with computers and perform data entry. Organization skills, adherence to established safety practices. Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to maintain confidential information.Why You'll Love Us:
