Job Description
Experis is seeking an R D Lab Technician to support scientific and technical projects for leading clients in the professional, scientific, and technical services industry. In this role, you will prepare samples, run experiments, operate and maintain lab equipment, and accurately document test results. You'll follow strict safety and quality protocols while collaborating with engineers and scientists in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Responsibilities Prepare, set up, and operate laboratory equipment to support R D experiments and prototype testing Execute test protocols, record data accurately, and maintain detailed lab documentation and reports Follow SOPs, GLP, and safety standards to ensure a clean, compliant, and hazard-free lab environment Assist engineers and scientists with sample preparation, measurements, and analytical testing Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on lab instruments and tools Track inventory of lab supplies, reagents, and components; coordinate replenishment as needed Support data analysis and basic interpretation of test results to inform product development decisions Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines, priorities, and technical needs Participate in continuous improvement of lab processes, workflows, and documentation templates Assist with validation, verification, and scaling of new test methods and experimental setups Required Skills Laboratory techniques (wet chemistry or materials testing) Operating and maintaining lab instruments Data recording and documentation (LIMS/ELN) Basic statistical analysis of test results Following SOPs, GLP, and safety protocols Sample preparation and handling Calibration and troubleshooting of lab equipment MS Office or scientific data software (Excel, Minitab, etc.) Reading technical procedures and test methods Inventory tracking of lab supplies
