Job Description

Lab Technician Location:
Pan Mine, Ely Nevada Schedule:
10-hour Days, 4 days a week
Compensation:
$28.28 to $44.90 (DOE and skill level) Opportunities for advancement through structured operator progression levels Reports to: Senior Metallurgist Join Our Team at Pan Mine Join the team at Minera Alamos and be part of a growing operation focused on safety, teamwork, and operational excellence. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for receiving, preparing, analyzing, and reporting production, metallurgical, crusher, and blasthole samples. This position operates and maintains laboratory equipment, performs analytical testing, prepares reagents and solutions, and supports quality assurance and quality control programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, log, prepare, process, and analyze production and metallurgical samples Operate sample preparation equipment including crushers, splitters, pulverizes, and laboratory balances Perform fire assay and other analytical testing methods Prepare laboratory reagents and standard solutions Calibrate and maintain Atomic Absorbance instrumentation Accurately record and report analytical results using Microsoft Excel Follow laboratory QA/QC procedures and maintain high standards of data integrity Safely handle laboratory chemicals and reagents
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a mining, metallurgical, or commercial laboratory Experience operating AA or ICP instrumentation Familiarity with sample preparation techniques and wet chemistry procedures Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and chemical handling
Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License required Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Why Join Us?
