Salary Range:
$49,763.00 - $69,668.00 The Histologist limited permit processes, embeds and stains tissue specimens in preparation for routine histopathological examination. This position requires the exercise of sound judgment and responsibility and works under the direct technical supervision of a senior histologist or technical specialist and under the general supervision of the director. This individual is responsible for keeping the surrounding area clean and organized. Must meet all of the New York State Education Department requirements as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or certified Histology technician. Must be NYSED provisional permit eligible. Must have an Associate's Degree from an approved clinical laboratory technician or histology program.
