Job Description:
SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified and dedicated candidates for part-time adjunct instructor roles in the Clinical Laboratory Technology Department. The successful candidate will provide instruction, course management and maintenance, and student support for selected courses in the Clinical Laboratory Technician and Histological Technician programs. Lectures and labs are offered in an online, asynchronous format. Candidates should have experience teaching in an online format or willingness to learn. Applications for Adjunct Instructor positions are accepted on a continuous basis. Candidates are contacted and hired as opportunities arise, depending on the College's needs. Technical expertise, laboratory experience, and education in the specialties of microbiology and/or histology/pathology is strongly desired based on current course demands. Experience teaching in online courses is highly desired.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is required. American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification and/or NYS license is required. Teaching and or clinical experience working with students is highly desired. Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission. Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
