Job Description

Our client, a Paint Manufacturing company, is looking for a Lab Technician for their Brecksville, OH location.

Responsibilities:

The Laboratory Technician supports research, development, and testing of solventborne paint and coating systems.

This role involves preparing formulations, applying coatings via spray equipment, conducting laboratory and application testing, and maintaining a safe, organized lab environment.

The technician works closely with chemists, engineers, and R D personnel to ensure accurate data generation and high-quality experimental results.

Paint Preparation & Application:

Prepare solventborne paint and coating formulations according to established procedures and formulations.

Apply coatings using spray equipment (e.g., spray guns, panels, test substrates) under controlled laboratory or spray booth conditions.

Adjust application parameters (viscosity, pressure, gun setup, film thickness) to achieve consistent results.

Safety & Compliance:

Work safely with flammable solvents and hazardous materials in compliance with company procedures and applicable EHS regulations.

Use required PPE, follow chemical hygiene plans, and properly label, store, and dispose of hazardous waste.

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory and spray booth environment.
