15% applies after start date Job Description The primary function of the Specimen Processor is to support laboratory operations by performing specimen sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This position will be responsible for accurately processing and organizing specimens while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Responsibilities Sort and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently. Perform data entry related to specimen processing and laboratory testing. Organize and prepare specimens for further laboratory processing. Ensure accurate handling and identification of specimens. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen processing. Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Collaborate with team members to support daily laboratory operations. Provide support for additional laboratory tasks as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. May work overtime based on business needs. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong data entry skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to follow established procedures and instructions. Preferred Qualifications Previous laboratory or healthcare experience. Previous specimen processing experience. Experience with data entry or clerical work. Familiarity with laboratory workflows and procedures. Additional Information Full-time contract position with possible conversion to a permanent LabCorp position based on performance and business needs. No travel required. Possible overtime may be required. Fast-paced laboratory environment requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork. Candidates should be comfortable with the potential for conversion to a permanent position.
