Job Description
Eaton's AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Lab Technician. This position will be located at our Euclid, OH facility. The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting materials testing in support of Eaton-Euclid manufacturing and Eaton Aerospace Labs' external sales. In this role, you will prepare, analyze and document metallurgical and chemical lab tests. This position will also be responsible for maintaining test equipment, modifying/writing lab procedures and supporting manufacturing special processes. The expected annual salary range for this role is $69000 - $101000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do:
- Prepare metallographic specimens (sectioning, mounting and polishing).
- Evaluate specimens per test procedures (ie. case depth, IGA, grain size, weld evaluation, etc).
- Perform hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, Knoop).
- Assist with SEM analysis, as needed.
- Assist with mechanical testing, as needed.
- Document test results and prepare test reports.
- Help maintain lab equipment and environment.
- Communicate (both orally and written) with supervision and sales in a precise, logical, informative and tactful manner.
- Assist with manufacturing process troubleshooting and process control.
- Review industry specifications related to lab testing.
Qualifications:

- Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a laboratory, manufacturing or testing environment.
