Lab Technician Location:

Grove City, OH Shift:

1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30

PM, Monday-Friday Pay:

$20.60/hour

Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire Join a Global Leader in Coatings Our client, a Fortune 500 leader in paints and coatings, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join their Quality Control team in Grove City, OH. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to build a long-term career while gaining hands-on laboratory experience with an industry-leading manufacturer. Responsibilities Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. Prepare and evaluate laboratory samples using established testing procedures. Conduct testing such as viscosity, color, density, pH, gloss, and other product performance evaluations. Accurately record and document test results. Operate, clean, and calibrate laboratory equipment. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and all safety guidelines. Assist in identifying and troubleshooting quality concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure products meet specifications. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Material Science, or another science-related field preferred. Previous laboratory, quality control, manufacturing, or chemical industry experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
