Job Description
Entry-Level Lab Technician/Assistant Job DescriptionJob Description We are hiring for an Entry-Level Laboratory Technician here on the east side of Columbus! This is a long-term career opportunity for someone looking to grow in the industry long-term. This role will specifically be handling samples and performing testing on metal samples that are preparing to be recycled. Testing will primarily be chemistry based, and an ideal candidate will have a Bachelors in a Scientific field. Description Document each sample accurately and thoroughly Follow established written procedures Maintain, calibrate, and operate analytical instruments including XRF and ICP Prepare chemical solutions used in testing. Testing includes analytical balances, pipettes, and volumetric glassware Clean and maintain laboratory glassware Keep workspaces clean, safe, and organized Track and manage laboratory inventory Familiar with lab safety and good laboratory practices Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree highly preferred in a Science related field (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Material Science, Microbiology, etc.) Will potentially take someone with their Associate's depending on laboratory coursework, but pay will be lower Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Pataskala, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
