BASIC FUNCTION
The test lab technician will support the development of new products and the improvement of existing products by building, servicing, troubleshooting, fabricating and testing pumps, pump systems and their components along with analyzing test results and conducting teardown evaluations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Test pumps and pump components in accordance with the lab schedule; this will include: Plumb and wire pumps for testing Operate test equipment Tabulate/report test results Fabricating components and fixtures for test Analyze test results Tear down and rebuild pumps Evaluate and troubleshoot pumps Utilize basic MS Office applications Follow work instructions and create new instructions where none exist Minimal (less than 5%) travel Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Three to five years related experience or two-year associate degree in related field plus one to three years related experience Good mechanical and electrical aptitude Understanding of AC and DC power systems, electrical schematics, and ladder logic Machinist skills preferred Familiarity with pumps and pump systems Good written and oral communication skills required Experience with Microsoft Office applications Lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds about 2/3 of the time, and up to 100 pounds up to 1/3 of the time. Must reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and balance. These are incorporated in frequent need to lift large plumbing, parts, or pumps. Worker is assisted by cranes, hoist, or forklift for heavy or awkward loads. Work Authorization Crane Pumps & Systems will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
