Compensation:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Overview We are a high-complexity PCR diagnostic laboratory located in University Heights, OH, seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a CMS-certified facility, we focus on advanced molecular diagnostics and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and patient care. This part-time role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with PCR testing, hematology, and laboratory operations in a high-complexity environment, while working alongside experienced supervisors and directors. Responsibilities Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols in compliance with CLIA and CMS regulations. Perform PCR testing and support workflows in related diagnostic assays. Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for accurate data entry and reporting. Maintain aseptic technique to ensure sample integrity and accurate results. Prepare and process samples, document findings, and maintain detailed records. Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of laboratory instruments. Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure reliable test performance. Support administrative duties, including logging specimens and handling supplies. Collaborate with supervisors and laboratory leadership to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency. Skills & Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science discipline with at least 24 credit hours in Biology and Chemistry required. Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience (clinical or academic setting). Familiarity with PCR techniques and molecular diagnostics strongly preferred. ASCP certification (e.g., MLT, MLS, MB) preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and general clinical laboratory procedures. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a regulated environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
