Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00
PM Starting Pay:
$15.00 per hour Higher Testing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for sample accessioning, sample preparation, and support of analytical testing for cannabis products. This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the testing process. Primary Responsibilities Accession and prepare cannabis samples for laboratory analysis.
Assist with testing preparation for:
Potency Analysis Residual Solvent Analysis Heavy Metals Analysis Pesticide Analysis Microbial Testing Water Activity Testing Moisture Analysis Process high volumes of samples while maintaining accuracy and organization. Follow all laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality requirements. Properly dispose of analyzed samples and manage chemical waste according to established procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional laboratory environment. Perform routine laboratory support functions and clerical duties, including data entry, filing, record maintenance, and inventory tracking. Assist with laboratory projects and assume additional responsibilities as needed or assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer and data entry proficiency. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to successfully pass a background check through the applicable state regulatory agency.
