$18-$22/hr DOE Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn? BBSI is recruiting for a Water Laboratory Assistant on behalf of our client in Grants Pass. This position combines laboratory testing and quality control with the maintenance and upkeep of specialized laboratory equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment, and working in a technical environment. The client is willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates mechanical ability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Perform laboratory tests and experiments with accuracy and attention to detail Prepare sample reagents and media Conduct daily and weekly quality control procedures Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols Assist with the operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment Answer phones and assist with general laboratory support duties as needed What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with technical equipment Ability to learn equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software programs Previous laboratory, manufacturing, mechanical, technical, or equipment maintenance experience is a plus, but not required Why Apply?
