Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join the team specializing in phytosanitary and genetic testing of plant material. The ideal candidate will assist in processing plant samples, extracting plant DNA, and conducting molecular diagnostics using PCR and quantitative RT-PCR . This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in biology, plant pathology, molecular biology, or related fields who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in processing plant samples for lysate preparation and DNA extraction Perform PCR and quantitative RT-PCR for phytosanitary and genetic testing Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate and reproducible results Maintain detailed laboratory records and document test results Assist in the preparation of reagents, buffers, and other lab supplies as needed Operate and maintain lab equipment such as thermalcyclers Support general lab maintenance, including cleaning and sterilizing equipment
