Job Description
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining and organizing the campus biology laboratories and assisting Biology faculty and staff whenever needed.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology or related field and 2 years' experience- Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Organizes and maintains campus biology labs including anatomical models, microscopes, posters, prepared slides, and all other lab supplies and equipment.- (Essential) Performs regular inventories of lab supplies and equipment. Reports shortages or missing items to administration. Takes appropriate steps to secure inventory and equipment from loss.
- (Essential) Arranges for general upkeep and repair of all lab equipment.
- (Essential) Orders and maintains supplies used in all Biology labs. Maintains an updated and ongoing list of suppliers and supplies needed.
- (Essential) Assists with the preparation, set-up, take down, and storages of all materials used for student lab exercises and exams.
- (Essential) Disposes of biohazards, sharps, and glass in compliance with established college and regulatory policies and procedures.
- (Essential) Maintains updated and ongoing Material Safety Data Sheet binders. Conforms to all OSHA standards for safe storage of lab supplies.
- (Essential) Maintains tanks and all lab plants.
- (Essential) Oversees duties of assigned student worker assistant.
