  • Position Summary
  • The Laboratory Assistant supports daily laboratory operations by performing sample preparation, laboratory testing, equipment and supply maintenance, and accurate documentation of laboratory activities.
The position requires adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality assurance programs, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis.
+ Register and process incoming samples as needed. + Perform sample preparation activities, including: + Aliquoting samples + Spiking and tracing samples + Preparing reagents and concentrations + Bottling samples + Sample separation + Sonication + Liquid rack setup + Complete laboratory testing on incoming samples accurately, efficiently, and within established turnaround-time requirements. + Identify, investigate, and resolve sample discrepancies, anomalies, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results. + Verify analytical results and submit completed results to the appropriate personnel for reporting. + Maintain accurate laboratory records, including analysis results, sample tracking information, bench sheets, logbooks, and quality-control documentation. + Maintain organized and accurate records of daily work and testing performed for quality-control and regulatory purposes. + Wash and prepare laboratory glassware for upcoming sample processing. + Maintain appropriate levels of laboratory supplies and assist with stocking and organization. + Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, work areas, and supply storage areas in a clean and orderly condition. + Follow all applicable Quality System documents, including the Quality Manual, SOPs, and analytical methods. + Adhere to quality requirements established by ISO/IEC 17025, applicable government regulations, and company policies. + Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements associated with laboratory operations. + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. + Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • + High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
+ 0-2 years of laboratory experience preferred; related experience is helpful but not required. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
