Flexible hours around class schedules Overview This paid internship provides hands-on experience with materials testing and manufacturing quality systems commonly used in engineering careers. We are seeking a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering student interested in gaining real-world laboratory and manufacturing experience. Interns will work alongside experienced laboratory and operations staff performing testing on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure quality and consistency. This role is ideal for students interested in careers in manufacturing, materials science, product development, or process engineering. During this internship you will gain practical experience with: Laboratory quality control testing in a manufacturing environment Materials characterization including viscosity, % solids, and pH analysis Process quality monitoring for raw materials, in-process production, and finished products Technical data collection and documentation used by operations and engineering teams Root cause investigation of rejected or returned materials Research & Development testing supporting product improvements Laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance Responsibilities Perform daily QC testing on raw materials, production samples, and finished products Conduct viscosity, % solids, and pH testing Record and maintain laboratory testing data and technical reports Assist with research and development and product development testing Support quality assurance inspections and root cause analysis of returned materials Assist with lab equipment calibration, maintenance, and organization Provide testing data to operations and engineering teams Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Interest in materials testing, manufacturing processes, or quality engineering Ability to follow laboratory procedures and safety protocols Drug Screen and Criminal Background Check Additional Details How To Identify Potential Job Scams
