Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Senior Lab Technician for a long term contract role in Allentown, PA. Please contact Sirius for more information.
Schedule:
M-F 7a-3p We are seeking a skilled Chemical Laboratory Technician / Research Associate to support lab experimentation related to the development and scale-up of new technologies from lab to commercialization. This role involves hands-on laboratory work including chemical synthesis, purification, and analysis, while ensuring safe operations and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of working both independently and collaboratively, and experienced in a chemical lab or pilot plant environment. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory synthesis to support new product development, cost reduction, and optimization projects Partner with lead researchers to design and execute experimental programs Operate and troubleshoot a variety of laboratory equipment and analytical tools Conduct analysis using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, rheology, and titrations Build and modify laboratory setups, including mechanical assembly of non-standard equipment Assist with plant trials and technology transfer to manufacturing sites Document experimental procedures, data, and results; prepare summary reports Support lab operations including equipment maintenance and chemical inventory management Participate in and promote lab safety programs, including inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance initiatives Collaborate with vendors and contractors for lab projects and equipment procurement Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in a chemical laboratory or pilot plant environment 10+ years of experience preferred Experience with organic or polymer synthesis required Experience working with high-pressure systems and catalysts preferred Strong communication (written and verbal) skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot standard analytical lab equipment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (equipment/materials) Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
