Job Description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Lab Technician for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in West Point, PA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role supports downstream processing of vaccine intermediates within a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will leverage their scientific education and lab experience to set up experiments, perform assays, and maintain accurate records following good laboratory practices (GLP).
Responsibilities:
Set up process equipment for lab-scale experiments Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions and culture media Perform lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine process intermediates Perform process monitoring assays Analyze, collate, track, and report data back to client staff members Maintain records and test results following good laboratory practices (GLP) Work independently and efficiently Document work clearly and perform tests accurately Communicate effectively with client staff members
Requirements:
B.S. in Bio/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related science 0-3 years of work experience At least six months of related laboratory experience General laboratory skills, experience with pipettes Experience using formulas and linking spreadsheets in Excel Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies Ability to work flexible hours Desired skills: Experience performing biologics purification steps Operation of tangential flow filtration experience Pay range: up to $33.30 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.
