Overview:

Sentara Health is hiring a laboratory support technician to work full time days in the Anatomic Pathology Lab at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA. (Monday-Friday; 0700-1530)

• This position is for the Anatomic Pathology lab, but will also assisting in cytology collection procedures

Overview:

As a laboratory support technician (LST) duties are to prepare specimens per discipline operating procedure for result/interpretation by technical staff Perform instrument maintenance and inventory functions per operating procedures Education Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology (required) Certification/Licensure No certification or licensure required Sentara is focused on living its mission — to improve health every day. Laboratory Services We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $19.96 - $29.25 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
