Term Assistant/Associate Professor of Medical Laboratory Science 532138 Anchorage, Alaska, United States Faculty Full-time On Campus UNAC Grade 30 UAA College of Health Add to favorites View favorites The University of Alaska Anchorage, School of Allied Health seeks an innovative, energetic individual who will work in a collaborative teaching environment in the delivery of Allied Health courses within the UAA Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) programs. The faculty member appointed to this position will provide advising to prospective and current medical laboratory science students, didactic and laboratory education to students enrolled in the medical laboratory science programs. The NAACLS accredited MLS program at UAA is essential for Alaska's healthcare. We are looking for a dynamic professor, passionate about laboratory medicine with a strong desire to provide innovative, industry level, research-based education towards the continued development and growth of Alaska's clinical laboratory scientists. A great candidate will have exceptional laboratory skills supported by an advanced degree in clinical laboratory science and research. This position requires excellentmunication skills with students, faculty, and clinical partners, maintaining a strong network within the laboratorymunity of Alaska.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution. National certification as a generalist Medical Laboratory Scientist. Three (3) years clinical experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, 9 month, term-funded faculty positionplete with both apetitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generouspensation package that includes retirement options, faculty time off, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. Salary will be based upon education and experience. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until a successful candidate is identified.
