The Test Center Associate will support the R D department by conducting a variety of tests on coatings and materials, documenting results, and assisting in the development of new products. This position requires a hands-on individual with a strong attention to detail, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of standardized and customized tests on coatings and other materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency of test conditions. record test data, maintain detailed logs, and prepare test reports that document findings. Operate and maintain testing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist with monitoring and ensuring the quality of products, materials, and processes during testing. Work closely with R D engineers, chemists, and other team members to assist in product development, testing strategies, and improvements. Suggest and implement improvements to existing testing methods or materials based on test results and observations. Adhere to all safety protocols, including handling chemicals, equipment, and materials in a safe and responsible manner. Assist with the setup and execution of experimental protocols, and support the R D team in conducting new product and process innovations. Mankiewicz Coatings Role Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree or certification in chemistry, material science, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in a laboratory, testing, or industrial setting is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in test execution and documentation. Basic understanding of chemical properties and laboratory safety protocols. Proficiency in using test equipment and software for data recording and analysis. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers presence Experience with SAP software (preferred) Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint) Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Requires frequent walking, standing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching.
