Is NOT on an active Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) Summary of the Position Harris Products Group, is a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, is seeking a highly motivated QC Technician to join our team at the Carthage, TN facility. In this role, the QC Technician performs detailed inspections and testing of manufactured products at various stages of the production process, as well as on completed components, to ensure conformance with quality standards and specifications. This position is responsible for evaluating materials, in-process parts, and finished goods to identify defects, verify product reliability, and support continuous improvement. The QC Technician partners closely with production and engineering teams to uphold quality requirements, ensure compliance with company and industry standards, and maintain the overall integrity and performance of Harris Products.
Key Deliverables Works safely and supports safety within their team and across the organization. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions - Timely completion of projects and reports
Performs internal audits on processes and procedures
Instrument calibrations and data accuracy
Performs comprehensive quality assessments of products in all stages of the manufacturing process.
Completes product assessments on a timely basis to ensure a smooth flow of material through the processes and into finished goods.
Understands the various manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures.
Trains operator to recognize acceptable vs. unacceptable physical characteristics of raw, in-process, and finished material per specification and customer requirements. Works with manufacturing personnel to identify root causes of non-conformances.
Understands any physical testing requirements for manufactured material. Processes returns for manufactured and purchased products. Investigates the root cause and take corrective action when necessary. Ensures that all documentation is properly completed and routed to the appropriate personnel.
Performs receipt inspection of raw material and notifies purchasers of manufacturing issues. Then initiating a DMN and quarantines material
Maintains computer database for CAR and calibration records

Attends team meetings
Utilizes lean tools: 6s, visual factory concepts in maintaining order, cleanliness, and a safe work environment
Participate in all required skills training and educational courses
Must be willing and able to wear required personal protective equipment while performing the job as required by the company
Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Manufacturing experience preferred Hands on Welding / Brazing experience preferred
Selected candidate paygrade and job level will be determined based upon qualifications and experience Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Physical Requirements of Position Sitting or standing for a 10-hour work day as the job dictates, with occasional overtime
Heavy or constant visual attention is required when performing the job
Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds team lifting, raising or lowering an object from one level to another, including upward pulling
Ability to handle job materials, sizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands
