Job Description
As a student who has completed a baccalaureate degree with the required number of hours of math and science (biology, chemistry) education, and with a Medical Laboratory Scientist present, this position is responsible for performing and evaluating the validity of technical laboratory procedures on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient specimens. The purpose of the technical laboratory procedures performed is to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in accordance with CRMC and professional standards of practice; maintaining all aspects of quality assurance, quality control, and quality improvement; providing rapid and accurate reporting of results, preventative maintenance, and technical assistance; relaying and documenting all alert (critical) values appropriately; and models appropriate behavior as exemplified in the CRMC Mission and Values statement.
