135 E Swan StCenterville, TN 37033 Shift hours: 7am - 7:30pm (Every other weekend, three days week.)
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Lab Technician to perform routine medical laboratory testing that supports the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of a Medical Technologist while ensuring accurate test results and maintaining laboratory quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine medical laboratory tests on patient specimens. Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment. Review and verify test and experiment results for accuracy and compliance with specifications. Review pathology findings, including abnormal cell results. Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood and urine using microscopes and automated analyzers. Perform blood counts and blood testing for transfusion purposes. Collect blood and tissue specimens while following aseptic techniques. Enter laboratory findings accurately into the laboratory information system. Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records. Follow all laboratory quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or vocational laboratory training preferred. 10+ years of laboratory experience required. Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and disease diagnosis. Experience performing chemical analysis and specimen testing. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Leadership and mentoring experience preferred.
