Job Description

The primary goals of this position are:
  • to maintain accurate and efficient analytical laboratory operations with adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP),
  • to ensure timely and appropriate release of Raw Material (RM) lots, Bulk Formula (BF) batches, and Work-in-Process (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG) lots.
This position requires knowledge of:
  • Working knowledge of analytical and instrumental testing methods,
  • Laboratory record-keeping requirements, best practices and Good Documentation Practices,
  • The use of personal protective equipment.

  • Proficient in organizing and filing documents. The Analytical Technician will be responsible for:
  • Provide Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for RM lots, BF batches, and WIP and FG lots,
  • Ensuring that all required measurements and analytical testing second-checks required are carried out in an accurate and efficient manner,
  • Reviewing testing data and authorizing and authorizing release of RM lots, BF batches, and WIP and FG lots,
  • Reviewing Lab Technicians' notebooks for adherence to Good Laboratory and Good Documentation Practices,
  • Help in ensuring that assay, micro, and testing samples are shipped to customer and outside laboratory locations,
  • Providing customers with requested documents (COAs, etc.)
  • Assist with archiving of retains, bulk batches (samples and paperwork) and PLR packets,
Education:
  • Minimum of a 2 years of chemistry or laboratory experience,
  • Working familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices and current Good Manufacturing Practices preferred,
  • Math skills and computer skills (e.
g. MS Office including Excel and Word) are essential.
