Extended Job Title Technician III- Laboratory Services Position Description Performs advanced technical, administrative, and supervisory laboratory duties in support of patient care and laboratory operations. The Technician III is responsible for coordinating daily laboratory activities, supervising phlebotomy staff, providing direct patient laboratory services, maintaining regulatory and accreditation compliance, and ensuring the availability and proper functioning of laboratory supplies and equipment. Collect various specimens, with CMP's being fasting. Giving critical lab values or cultures to ordering physician. Provide HIV post counseling for CID department and complete HIV pre-release testing. Works with phlebotomist to maintain laboratory cleanliness in accordance with ACA standards Maintains laboratory licensing and credentials to ensure the lab is in compliance with operating standards as stated within policy. Maintains supplies, and lab equipment, & reporting non-functioning equipment to proper person as found. Grant Funded?
