PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Laboratory Assistant (LA) participates in competency and educational opportunities and all activities in the R&T department(s), including performing multiple services associated with assigned departmental duties, laboratory support and customer services. These duties are in the scope of complexity according to accrediting agencies. By accomplishing these duties, the LA ensures that daily operations in the PQC laboratories meet and follow all established guidelines, provide excellence in service, and meet the needs of all PQC customers. The LA exemplifies and champions Carter BloodCare (CBC) Core Values and Code of Conduct, and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To support ongoing development and organizational goals, the LA is required to attend meetings and training sessions, as assigned. This position may require working varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime to support operational needs. Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE
General laboratory and/or blood center experience, preferred Customer service training and experience, preferred
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
