A Sleep Laboratory Technician, also known as a polysomnographic technician, performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

Day Shift What You Will Do:
Operate and maintain the hyperbaric chamber and associated systems and equipment as prescribed by a hyperbaric physician and under the supervision of the program director or clinical coordinator. Monitor patients in the chamber and record patient condition, ensuring patient comfort and reporting any unusual occurrences. Maintain operating, maintenance, and safety logs on hyperbaric equipment to ensure compliance. Keep patient treatment records and collect necessary data as required.

Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Hyperbaric Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nurse Aide obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Paramedic obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
