Universal DX, Inc. is an international Company with a highly experienced team focused on cracking cancer's code. Through our multi-omics and bioinformatics models, we have figured out how to read the disease's signals in blood with high accuracy to detect cancer in its earliest stages. Starting with a colorectal cancer screening liquid biopsy test, we are building a multi-cancer platform that can identify the unique DNA regions associated with different types of cancers.The Opportunity:
Universal Diagnostics (UDx) is seeking a Molecular Technologist to join our Lab Operations Team in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. In this role, you will perform a range of molecular techniques, including whole blood processing, DNA/cfDNA extraction, PCR, and Next-Generation Sequencing. You will also support equipment maintenance and sample tracking to ensure efficient and reliable lab operations as we continue to scale the UDx Signal-C assay. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including assay development, automation, bioinformatics, and quality to support ongoing lab execution and study work. How you'll contribute:- Perform end-to-end NGS workflows, including plasma processing, cfDNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing,
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in LIMS and laboratory records
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
- Follow SOPs and batch records to ensure consistent and reproducible results
- Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, including documenting instrument maintenance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including handling hazardous materials and waste disposal procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support study execution and lab operations
- Document deviations and corrective actions in accordance with quality standards
- Assists with training and mentoring junior lab technicians. What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry or a related field, with hands-on experience in a molecular laboratory
- Experience with NGS workflows, including DNA extraction, library preparation, and hybrid capture
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret data
- Experience handling, quantifying, and purifying DNA samples
- Familiarity with automated liquid handling systems is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience working in a CLIA or CAP high-complexity laboratory preferred
- Familiarity with LIMS platforms preferred What we´ll offer:
