Job Summary:
Cinder Residuals Texas is seeking a dependable and observant Lab Technician to join our facility located in the vicinity of Fairfield, TX. Our projects across throughout the United States involve large quantities of fly ash and other coal combustion residuals that require testing prior and after beneficiation into concrete products. Primary testing methods include a variety of analytical chemistry techniques and other testing methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory experiments for testing fly ash and other coal combustion residual (CCR) materials Manage samples, including receipt, shipping, delivery, storage and organization in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Prepare reports and internal communications Travel occasionally (10%) to neighboring company sites for sample collection and delivery Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on lab equipment Maintain inventory of lab chemicals and supplies, coordinate with external vendors Label and track all collected data Enter and manage data using various software tools Coordinate with Plant and Field Operations Meet project schedules while fostering a collaborative and professional working environment Maintain a safe working environment by following Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), keeping the lab hazard-free, and reporting issues to management Support other Site Operations at the request of immediate
Supervisor or Plant Manager Qualifications and Requirements:
Associates or Bachelors degree in STEM or related filed. Hands-on laboratory or research experience preferred Ability to read and understand ASTM standards and procedures related to fly ash and concrete Full adherence to OSHA and Company Safety Policies Ability to pass all pre-employment screening Valid Driver's License Self-Starter, ability to meet production goals and modify schedules to fit requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future visa sponsorship Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Agree to Drug Screening Panel Agree to a Criminal Background Check Agree to attend Company's Safety Training Program and acknowledgement receipt of such training Agree to receive, review and acknowledge receipt of the Company's Information Technology Manual Acknowledge receipt of

Work is performed in an industrial facility, including time in control areas and field conditions with exposure to noise, dust, heat, outdoor elements, and operational hazards May involve standing or sitting for extended periods, bending, climbing, using hand tools, and working around heavy equipment or machinery Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights or in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks Use of communication devices or computer systems may be required, depending on job function PPE must be worn and all safety protocols followed
