Know Your Team:
UT Health Henderson features 41 operational beds, a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility with surgical suites, advanced diagnostic technology, a maternity unit, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, wound healing center and an AASM-accredited sleep center. Responsibilities To work under the general supervision of the clinical director (MD, DO, or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties define for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide oversight of other staff.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography OR Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one-year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility of equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies requires of a Polysomnographic Technician Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred job Requirements A minimum of 1 year experience as a Polysomnographic Technician with documented proficiency in all required competencies.
