Job Description

SGB Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Midland, TX lab team. You will support field applications and product performance through accurate laboratory analysis and reporting, reporting directly to the VP of Lab & Manufacturing. This role focuses primarily on water analyses using wet chemistry methods and Hach instrumentation. We're looking for someone with a foundation in laboratory work who is eager to grow their technical skills in a hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities Perform water analyses using wet chemistry techniques and Hach equipment, including residuals and bacteria Maintain accurate lab data, documentation, and reporting Conduct chemical quality control (QC) testing to ensure product consistency Communicate findings with technical and internal teams Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment Always utilize safety and environmental measures. Additional tasks and responsibilities as required to meet the needs of the position What We're Looking For 1+ years of laboratory or related hands-on experience preferred General understanding of lab procedures and safety practices Experience in the oil and gas or chemical industry preferred, but not required Degree in a science-related field is a plus, but not required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Growth Opportunity This position is designed for continued development. As you build experience and demonstrate proficiency, you will have the opportunity to expand into additional laboratory functions, including advanced sample analysis and specialized testing. Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
