TB1 General Summary Responsible for performing pre‐ and post- analytical sample processing. Maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required to perform effectively. Maintain excellent communication with the Department and other Laboratory Services personnel. Major Duties and Responsibilities Essential Tasks Competently perform all assigned departmental duties. Performs Pre‐Analytical tasks outlined below: Box reception Sample accessioning Pooling for NAT testing Cooler/Freezer Reconciliation Shipping send out samples Exceptions management through LIMS and other internal tracking systems Relabeling Performs Post-Analytical tasks outlined below: Storing post-tested samples in Idetic system Disposal Creating salvage product Identify incomplete testing through the salvage application and forward samples Perform routine maintenance of pre-analytic equipment Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare and maintain reports/records in an accurate and timely manner. Perform computer data entry. Operate equipment utilizing established protocols and within quality control limits. Occupational Exposure Assignment - Category I Physical Requirements Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Will require walking, bending, and prolonged sitting and/or standing during work hours. Required to carry up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
