Job Description
MAIN FUNCTION
Work safely in the laboratory and in assigned areas at all times. Provide timely, efficient and proficient evaluations of carbon black. Assures laboratory test equipment is properly maintained and within calibration.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Responsibilities:
- Perform specified analytical and physical tests on finished product and in-process carbon black at the predetermined intervals.
- Prepare samples of in-process material and shipment material for evaluation.
- Acquire a knowledge of and properly utilize the retain system as it applies to shipments and finished product.
- Acquire knowledge of sampling the various modes of product packaging and transport.
- Acquire knowledge of and properly utilize Excel and Microsoft Dynamics AX applications
- Calibrate and maintain lab equipment, and record all calibrations into the electronic record system at the predetermined intervals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all test procedures.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ISO procedures and work instructions.
- Help to maintain a positive work environment through proper housekeeping.
- Acquires knowledge of and adheres to all safety practices and principles.

- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends & holidays.
- Must maintain good attendance record due to the 24/7 operation of the plant.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma are GED required.
- College degree in science or two years of lab experience preferred.
- Bring a workable knowledge of basic computer functions and applications.
- Prior work in a manufacturing environment a plus
