Starting Pay:
$24.00 per hour Join Our Team We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support our aluminum manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for conducting laboratory testing, analyzing materials, maintaining quality standards, and providing technical support to production operations. The Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in ensuring products meet customer specifications while supporting continuous improvement efforts across the facility. What You'll Do Perform chemical and physical testing on aluminum products and production materials. Collect, prepare, and analyze samples using specialized laboratory equipment and testing instruments. Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment. Review test results and verify compliance with customer and industry specifications. Identify and report non-conforming materials and support corrective actions. Maintain laboratory records, reports, and quality documentation. Support ISO 9001 and Quality Management System requirements. Collaborate with production, quality, safety, and management teams. Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment. Qualifications Required Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Materials Science, or a related field; or Two years of laboratory or engineering testing experience in lieu of a degree. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and testing methods. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Bachelor's degree in related scientific or technical discipline. Manufacturing or quality assurance experience, preferably in an aluminum manufacturing environment. Experience with laboratory standards, testing equipment, and quality management systems.
