LABORATORY ASSISTANT
About the company Intermountain Nutrition Labs is a department within Intermountain Nutrition Manufacturing. The lab team is a close knit group that works together to grow the capabilities of the lab while also providing true and accurate data for our customers. Schedule:
Flexible Part-time, Occasional Weekends Pay:
$18 The primary responsibilities of a lab assistant are to run routine microbiological assays on environmental monitoring samples, prepare media for lab technicians, and follow GLP/GDP standards. The lab assistant also performs instrument maintenance and calibration regularly. As the company is rapidly growing, lab assistants will need to be competent in document control and organization. It is the job of everyone at IMN labs to maintain a clean work environment and undertake tasks the lab manager finds appropriate for the role. What you'll be doing: Preparing environmental monitoring samples for microbiological assays Document control Prepare media Maintaining microbiological inventory Maintaining laboratory equipment
Required Skills:
Ability to closely follow written procedures Attention to detail for documenting process of each test session High knowledge of microbiology principles is preferred Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills Good computer skills, including usage of Google Workspace Moderate knowledge in mathematics, e.g., decimals and percentage Must be able to work in a team environment Ability to provide and receive feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner Experience with AOAC, Neogen Soleris, USP testing methods is a plus Previous laboratory or research experience is a plus Experience in
GMP/GLP/GDP
is a plus Experience in technical writing is a plus Experience in chemistry is a plus
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related science (Preferred) 1 year experience working in a laboratory environment (Preferred)
