A Sleep Laboratory Technician, also known as a polysomnographic technician, performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

Sleep Technologist Revere Health - 3.8 Provo, UT Job Details Part-time 16 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description A Part-time Polysomnographic Technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the general supervision of the Sleep Center Director involving polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient care and education, including performance and oversight of difficult and unusual procedures, and therapeutic interventions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure proper application of electrodes and sensors and appropriate physiologic calibrations completed on each patient study. Ability to accurately score sleep/wake stages and clinical events. Performing titration therapy, such as CPAP, Bi-level, ASV, AVAPS, Bi-level S/T, etc., Scoring of patient sleep studies and verification of each study's accuracy, ensuring efficient workflow. PAP mask fittings w/patients Interacts daily (or as needed) with Director or Lead Technologist, to ensure proper flow of communication. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Enter patient sleep center data Help to manage difficult or emotional patient situations. Responds promptly to patient's needs. Ensures good patient relations and monitors it through patient satisfaction surveys Answers phones and triage patient problems Works 1-3 night shifts a week Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills. Must be self-motivated and a team player with ability to work well under stress and deal with and resolve difficult situations. High School graduate with RPSGT or RST certification . BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. This is a benefits eligible position.
