Job Description

Monroe Health Center is seeking a Full-time Laboratory Assistant for the Craig County Health Center in New Castle, Virginia. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about serving a diverse patient population. Must have excellent Electronic Medical Records experience, good communication skills and ability to establish a good rapport with staff and patients of all ages. Laboratory Assistant Duties:
Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary draws Process, label, and prepare specimens for in-house testing or external lab transport Conduct basic waived/moderate complexity lab tests as permitted Maintain lab equipment, supplies, and cleanliness according to regulatory standards Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of lab results
Qualifications:
Phlebotomy experience Basic laboratory experience or training preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic rural healthcare setting Commitment to providing culturally competent, patient-centered care
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week -
