Job Description:
The opportunity Join Hitachi Energy in a hands-on laboratory role where precision, quality, and innovation drive real impact. As a Fluid Lab Technician, you will support critical testing and analysis that ensures the safety, reliability, and performance of essential power equipment. Working with industry-recognized standards such as ASTM, IEEE, and IEC, you will play a key role in evaluating oil quality and dissolved gas analysis results that directly influence operational decisions. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced lab instrumentation, contribute to environmental and safety initiatives, and collaborate across teams to maintain high quality standards. From sample collection to final reporting, your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help keep processes running efficiently and effectively. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines. How you'll make an impact Collect oil samples from labs, transformers, tanks, and incoming shipments Perform Dissolved Gas Analysis and fluid quality testing Calibrate and maintain lab equipment daily Record and manage test results across multiple systems Evaluate samples against ASTM, IEEE, and IEC standards Generate quality notifications when criteria are not met Support tank inspections, fluid handling, and environmental processes Maintain lab supplies, cleanliness, and operational readiness Your background Associate degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent experience.
