Must be able to work occasional holidays, weekends, and overtime when necessary. Brief Description Under broad guidance, the Lab Assistant is responsible for cleaning sample containers and specialized glassware in accordance with analytical method requirements and established deadlines. The Lab Assistant also performs critical courier functions, delivering supplies to HRSD facilities and ensuring the secure, compliant transport of regulatory samples to support and maintain VELAP accreditation. Detailed Description Job Requirements Education Required High school diploma or GED Desired High school and/or college level courses in physical or life sciences, algebra, and computer applications training Experience Desired Two years' courier experience or previous experience in an environmental laboratory. Licenses and Certifications Requirements Valid Driver's License from the state of residence Ability to obtain Forklift Operator Certificate (issued by HRSD) Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worder Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the TSA Additional Details HRSD is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
