2+ Years Required Licenses Active Phlebotomist License Active Washington State MA-P License Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform laboratory testing, specimen collection, quality control, equipment maintenance, and laboratory information system procedures. The MLT will work across multiple laboratory areas, including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, coagulation, serology, and urinalysis . The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately perform and document laboratory procedures while supporting high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing on patient specimens, control materials, and proficiency samples. Analyze and interpret laboratory results to verify accuracy and identify abnormal findings. Perform testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, coagulation, serology, and urinalysis . Collect and process blood and other patient specimens according to established procedures. Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients across all age groups. Assist with blood typing, compatibility testing, and other routine blood bank procedures. Prepare and analyze slides and specimens of blood, tissue, and other human cells. Perform chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) . Identify abnormalities, including bacteria, parasites, malignancies, and other clinically significant findings. Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Monitor laboratory supplies and consumables and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Enter laboratory test results and clinical data into laboratory information systems and other computer systems. Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation. Follow established quality control and quality assurance procedures. Participate in laboratory quality improvement programs and activities. Communicate relevant laboratory information and test results to physicians and other authorized healthcare professionals. Provide guidance to nursing staff regarding appropriate specimen collection techniques when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager. Required Qualifications 2+ years of laboratory experience required. Active Phlebotomist License required. Active Washington State MA-P License required. Experience performing specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary draws. Knowledge of laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines. Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment. Strong understanding of laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures. Ability to accurately document, analyze, and report laboratory results. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple laboratory tasks within established timeframes.
