Job Description

Position:

Medical Laboratory Technician Location:

Brewster

WA 98812

Shift:

12 Hrs. Shift- Monday-Thursday, 9:30AM - 8PM, 40 hrs./week

Duration:

15 Weeks Contract (Possible Extension) Pay Package for 40 Hrs/week (Travel Pay): Gross weekly: $2266/week

Weekly Stipends :

$1246/week (non-taxable),

Hourly Taxable:

$25.5/hr. on W2 (taxable)

Requirements:

2+ years of experience Medical Laboratory Technician. Must have active Phlebotomist License. Active Washington State MA-P License Active BLS from AHA.

Lisence:

HEW, ASCP, AMT, NCA EMR

Exp:

CPSI/Evident

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

#1: (30%) Organize work and manage the use of time in order to complete technical tasks within realistic time limits. Control laboratory equipment and adjust instruments to perform laboratory procedures. Use computers to operate laboratory instruments and calculate, record, evaluate, and transmit data

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

#2: (30%) Analyze and interpret laboratory results with considerable judgment. This includes all areas of the hospital and clinic laboratory including: hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, serology, blood bank, microbiology, and urinalysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

#3: (20%) Maintain instrument and lab section as assigned by the Lab Manager. This includes scheduled maintenance and monitoring consumables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

#4: (20%) Perform specimen collection on patients of all age groups. This includes venipuncture, capillary draws, culturing sites, and instructing nursing staff on correct method of sample collection.
