Job Description
Kickstart your healthcare career and gain hands-on laboratory experience supporting cutting-edge diagnostic testing in a fast-paced medical environment.
Support meaningful healthcare services: Play an important role in medical and healthcare.
Fast-paced, detail-oriented work: Combine high-volume data entry with specimen handling in a role where accuracy makes a difference.
Receive, sort, organize, and route specimens for laboratory testing.
Review specimens to determine appropriate processing or disposal.
Scan requisitions and transport specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments.
Comfortable handling biological samples and fluids. (Bagged and in containers)Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook and Windows OS.Experience in lab sciences a plus but not required.
Associates or Bachelors degree in a lab science preferred.
SALARY:
$18.00 per hourLOCATION
Vancouver, WASCHEDULE
Part-Time, Mon+Fri+Sat, 8-hour shifts with start time between 9:00 AM-11:00 AM; Temp to hireWHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance information, and test requests into the laboratory information system.Receive, sort, organize, and route specimens for laboratory testing.
Review specimens to determine appropriate processing or disposal.
Scan requisitions and transport specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience performing high-volume, accurate data entry; 10-key experience and average typing speed 40-50 WPM with high accuracy preferred.Comfortable handling biological samples and fluids. (Bagged and in containers)Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook and Windows OS.Experience in lab sciences a plus but not required.
Associates or Bachelors degree in a lab science preferred.
